Where the Ursians carry the forest's patience and the Lupin the pack's fierce loyalty, the Cathach carry something closer to the forest's silence itself—feline humanoids built for solitude, precision, and a self-possession that other races often mistake for arrogance, though the tome suspects it is simply the honest confidence of a people who rarely need help finishing what they start. They stand roughly at human height, lean and long-limbed, with a sinuous grace to every movement that makes even their stillness look deliberate. Fur covers them in patterns as varied as the cats of the old world once were—striped, spotted, solid, or dappled—in shades of gold, russet, grey, and black, with eyes that catch and hold light in a way that unsettles those unused to being watched so precisely. Retractable claws tip both hand and foot, and a long, expressive tail serves as much for balance as for the subtle language of mood the Cathach read fluently in one another and rarely bother explaining to outsiders.
- BITE: Cathach fangs cause Str+d4 damage and may be used against grappled foes.
- CLAWS: Their claws cause Str+d4, AP 2 damage and add +2 to Athletics (Climbing) rolls.
- LOW LIGHT VISION: Cathach eyes amplify light. They ignore penalties for Dim and Dark Illumination.
- CAN’T SWIM: Cathach actually can swim, they just shun it and are not particularly good at it. They subtract 2 from Athletics (swimming) rolls and each tabletop inch of movement in water uses 3′′ of Pace.
